Location 1: Night Markets

Today I went to the night markets and had a look around, took some photos and absorbed the atmosphere of the area. There weren't as many people as I had thought but it was also due to me going at around 5.30 so it had really only just started. There were alot of different food stalls to choose from for a dinner option and a live music stage set up for the entertainment of the night.

Developing my Ideas and Gaining Feedback

I looked into the different Markets last night and researched them to see what each of them had to offer. I shared the range of markets and decided on doing the Night Market, the Underground Market and the City Market as they each have their points of difference.

I have identified the main differences that distinguish each location. The night market provides entertainment and a variety of cultural foods, the underground market is very clothes and home orientated also alot of cultural art such as maori jewellery and green stones, and lastly the city market is an up market food market which provides a range of fine foods and often some wine tastings.

Beginning my Process

After being given the Brief I read through it and started brainstorming ideas of what my set of three places could be. After gaining some feedback on my initial ideas I decided to research the variety of markets that Wellington has to offer, and the different experience you can have in each of them.
